Happy Valentine's Day!

I love this holiday.  It's so nice to feel the love from my coworkers at work.  My husband and I don't exchange gifts usually for Valentine's Day.  I used to love flowers, but with having 6 cats at home, I worry about the dangers of them eating the poisonous follage.  My lovely husband, Michael Kaplan, placed a small letter in my lunchbag.  It was so sweet.  I'm glad that we have a great marriage, and still in love.

Stitching--I finished Tracy's pillow that I made for her wedding gift.  I'll have to scan a photo of it.

Have a great Valentine's Day!

a stressful day is followed by stitching with my kitties

I'm looking forward to stitching tonight.  Currently, I'm working on a heart from Gazette94.  It's going to be a wedding gift for an ex-coworker who's getting married this Saturday.  They've combined 2 households so there won't be a gift registry.  I also thought about baking a few dozen cookies, and placing them into a nice bag.  She's a great cook and baker.  I'm hoping that she'll love the gift.  Normally, we give money for wedding gifts, but sometimes it's more thoughtful to give someone a gift that you're making with your own hands.

What else am I working on.  I've started 2 samplers for 2 other gifts.  They're going to be turned into pillows or wall hangings.  One will be gifted to a sil.  The other is going to one of her daughters.  They're cat lovers like me.  I'm hoping that the pillows will be cherished.

I'm also working on finishing a sampler pillow for a co-worker's 30th wedding anniversary.  I believe that it's one of Isa Vautier's cat patterns.  My friend, Diana got me into my current position where I work.  I wanted to make something special for her.

I'm working on a quaker pillow for my work friend, Cindy who recently moved into a new home sometime last year.  Her home looks like Pier 1, but has some traditional items placed here and there.  This pillow is also done in green.  I've been putting the finishing off due to other stitching gifts.

I know that I have other things on my plate, but will continue to record my progress.  When we have such a great hobby, it's so easy to stop stitching on 1 and move to another :)

Off to stitch and spend time with the cats!

My first blog

Greetings!  This is my very 1st blog post.  I've admired many stitching blogs.  I'm finally getting the itch to start blogging about my life with my cats, husband, and stitching projects.  Good night!  I'll post more later :)
